You should NOT drink: If you are in a Methadone program for drug addiction, you are at high risk of developing another addiction - to alcohol. If you are on it for pain, the combination of Methadone and alcohol is not a good one. Methadone is a long-acting drug that maintains levels for 24 hours or more, so there is no safe time. Depending on how much you drink, respiratory depression and even death can occur w. Combo.
