Vascular compromise: Gangrene is tissue death due to lack of adequate blood supply it is essentially tissue necrosis. Infection can cause soft tissue damage compromise blood flow and lead to dry or wet gangrene. Typically wet gangrene because of the inflammatory infectious process.
