A member asked:

Can somebody tell me how can lisinpril and hydrochlorthiazide act to reduce blood pressure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

BP: These drugs work to decrease peripheral vascular resistance which lowers blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which also decreases intravascular volume. Lisinopril inhibits angiotensin converting enzyme which lowers vascular resistance.
