can someone tell me how to know if my finger is sprained?

Sprain: Hi there! If you hit it hard or had it pulled to the side and one of the joints is sore especially to the touch and slightly swollen, chances are it's sprained. Make sure all the joints move normally and there's no snapping to make sure it's not a tendon injury. Sprains usually hurt for 2-3 months. No specific treatment unless it's unstable. Hopefully that helps!
