A member asked:

Is there a way to suggest my husband that he needs psychiatric help ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

YES: I would try asking him how he thinks he's "doing" these days". Men are usually not as comfortable with "feelings". Ask when he last felt like "himself". Usually if you think he needs psychiatric help, he will be able to identify something that doesn't feel "right" to himself as well. Otherwise, ask him to go with you for your support. Get support for yourself; over time, he may get help too.
