Safer that cars.: Psychiatric medications are safe when used appropriately and under medical supervision. Taken in too high a dosage, in wrong combinations, or for too long can cause suffering or , in overdose, death. So can some vitamins and minerals.. All medications are like tools, use the right one for the right problem and life can be better. Bur fix the faucet with a hammer.

Curious: Most medications have potentially dangerous side effects, which is why they are available by prescription only. If they were completely safe, they would be available over the counter. And even then, not all otc medicines are completely safe. Tylenol (acetaminophen) can cause liver damage. Aspirin can cause ulcers. I'm sorry you believe you were coerced or misled. Medications do work to treat illness.
