Sore throat: At 39 you are more aware of the situation than say a 5 year old with obstructive airway. Immediately in recovery roomyou may have a bit of blood in the mouth, sore throat for about a week maybe 2. Beware of later bleeding ( a week or so out) if it does re bleed call your ENT. Normally the soreness is resolved with Tylenol, (acetaminophen) maybe low grade narcotic depending on your doctor
