A member asked:

I have hair(bangs) that pokes my eyes, and my mother told me that it'll affect my vision, it that true.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Visual development: Requires that the eye has good visual input during the formative years. This usually occurs from birth to around 10 years of age for the most part (generally speaking). If your hair is obstructing your view at your age, it should not lead to permanent and catastrophic loss of vision. But suppression may occur over time if the obstruction is dense and long enough causing other issues.
