Improvement: An improvement in breathing capacity after bronchodilator administration is helpful as it demonstrates that there is reversibility of the airway obstruction. Consistent use of medications in a stepwise medication program for treatment of asthma/bronchospasm can lead to sustained improvement of breathing capacity. Efforts to avoid dust/allergen exposure especially while sleeping is also helpful.
