Several: The pathogens of primary concern are the human immunodeficiency virus (hiv), hepatitis b virus (hbv), and hepatitis c virus (hcv). Practice safe sex, do not do drugs, especially IV drugs. Avoid tatoos if possible and if necessary, assure they are performed by a sanitary, cdc/fda approved and licensed artist. Use universal precautions with any known infected individuals.
