SIBO: Very doubtful. Bacterial overgrowth is treated with antibiotics although whether this is first line treatment is arguable. Some recommend probiotics as first line therapy with antibiotics reserved for more severe cases. Prokinetic drugs are other options but research in humans is limited.Antibiotics with Rifaximin appearing to have the most success.
