Having pain behind my ears, down my neck with a slight fever for a week. nerve pain in my face has now started. dr. did not know what it could be.

Need evaluation: If the doctor seeing you doesn't know, there is little a consult on the internet can do. You might want a second opinion. This could be herpes of the geniculate ganglion, a form of shingles, low grade dental infection spreading to the fascial planes of your neck and so on and so on. You might see an ENT specialist. Good luck.
