Many possible causes: Neck nodes can enlarge, most often due to throat infections caused by Upper respiratory viruses.. Sometimes it is strept throat. less common causes are cancer originating either in the mouth and throat spreading into the lymph nodes in the neck.or a lymph node cancer(Lymphomas).
