Fertility: Remember sperm live for up to five days after ejaculation in the female. So, these days leading up to fertility can also cause pregnancy. The reality is that it all depends on the length of the cycle and when a woman truly ovulates. Ovulation and the five days can put fertility to be that week following the menstrual period in some women.
