Are you healthy?: The presence of a particular microbe on culture does not necessarily indicate a clinical infection. Deciding what it means requires your physician to make a clinical correlation with your history, physical exam, and imaging studies. It may be a serious infection, or it may simply be a contaminant; these microbes are usually not commensals.
