Post tonsillectomy: You son may be developing complications it would be wise to report his condition to the surgeon and to his pediatrician to find out why he is not sleeping, has pain in hand and knee and why he is not eating yet. He should be seen for complications from surgery.

Possibly: He is having trouble sleeping because of pain, but it seems unlikely that the hand and knee pain is related to the tonsillectomy. I would try some otc pain relievers. If those do not help he should see his doctor for the pain. If he is not eating because of throat pain, call the ENT who did the surgery. If he is not urinating enough he may need to be checked for dehydration.
