Congestion prob:flonase has drastically slowed my body's healing time, made my hair thin & otc meds like zyrtec alone just don't cut it. that & i cant handle the drowsiness benadryl (diphenhydramine) induces. ideas?

Doubt it is: The flonase. It is only absorbed about 1-2% so it should not affect your body's healing time or cause your hair to thin out. If you need it for congestion you should use it. If you have a problem with healing time and thinning hair at your age you have another medical problem that needs to be evaluated and you should talk it over with your doctor!

Doubt this: Flonase or generically, fluticasone, is a topical steroid. Very little of this, if any, is absorbed by the blood stream. I seriously doubt that it has affected your immune system or thinned your hair. Ent docs and allergists have been using Flonase for years, and I have never heard of your symptoms. See a good allergist for an opinion.
