Ingrown Nail: Sometimes after ingrown nail surgery, it is not uncommon that a small spicule may be left behind or possibly the entire root was not destroyed and part of the nail is still growing back. You should have the doctor who did the procedure to look at it to make sure it is not one of the above causes. Other causes could be abscess left behind that was not completely resolved.
