Urethral stricture: Scar tissue in the urethra causes diversion of the urinary stream as well as difficulty urinating. The urologist usually cures this problem with dilation and/or minor surgery or prescribing sounds used to dilate the stricture. There are no medications that cure strictures of the urethra.

Yes there is: Temporary cure might be urethral dilatation. Cure would require frolic intervention which would either be an optical urethrotomy, which would be incising the stricture thru a cystoscope. This could be done providing the stricture is narrow. An open 1 or 2 stage urethroplasty might be necessary if the stictue is too wide to respond to a urethrotomy. He needs 2c a good urologist to take care of this.
