Depression: Depression is a medical illness that does not need a specific reason "why, " in your outer life. The tendency can run in families, and can also relate to other medical conditions that your doctor needs to check for, such as hypothyroidism. Sensitivity to noises can go along with irritability, which may be part of depression. Please see your physician asap about this, so you can get help.

Irritability: This is just a symptom of your depression. It is not a different disorder. It is very common for depression to have the power to steal the pleasure and tranquility from our normal daily activities and make everything irritating and annoying. When your depression gets treated this will all get better.
