Non-specific term: Bone marrow depression is not a specific diagnosis. Alcohol is one of the causes of low blood counts due to bone marrow depression. At your age, ed, high cholesterol and pad are not good signs. I would urge you to see a doctor and do the following: quit drinking, no tobacco, have diet rich fresh vegetables ; fruits, nuts, legumes, lentils, beans; and low in saturated fats. Exercise 30 minutes/day.

Bone marrow suppress: Bone marrow suppression (not depression) is decrease in production of cells for providing immunity (leukocytes), carrying oxygen (erythrocytes), and/or those responsible for normal blood clotting (thrombocytes). It is not a type of cancer. All these blood cells are lowered with chemotherapy use. Risk for bone marrow suppression is high in chemotherapy for leukemia. See Physian for Diagnosis.
