Get it checked : You say chronic hip pain by that i take it has been hurting you for more than a month. If so you need to get a x-ray to make sure you do not have serious problem like slipped epiphysis or other problems. Usually aches and pain due to overuse tend to resolve in couple of weeks so get it checked soon. Good luck.

Chronic hip pain: First of all when u say chronic hip pain-how long have u had it 4? Do u have any known condition that ur doctor is treating u for? It is unusual for ur age to have any hip pain that is chronic unless you have an underlying condition that affected your joint e.G trauma, arthritis from any other cause. If you have not consulted ur doctor 4 this, please do so urgently. U may need x-rays/labs, etc.
