Not likely: A single lesion for first herpes exposure is unlikely. I commonly have patients come in about white dots. Something got them to look in their mouth and the also noticed the white dots. Usually have always been there. Minor salivary glands or fat deposits. How long has the canker been there? More than 2 weeks? Need to see an oral surgeon for a diagnosis. Gone?Aphthous ulcer. They happen. No worries.
