Is the % of malignant microcalcifications in female breast age related? benign more often in under 40 or over 40?

It can be: Over 40 breast tissue has had more time to develop fibrosis (scarring) and thus more microcalcifications. However, it is not uncommon for under 40 breasts to have them in malignancy which can be the first sign that cancer is present to the Radiologist prior to biopsy.
