Since 2 years: tinnitis, bad hearing with background noise, loud crackling/popping (causes pain), sensitive hearing. what are the possible conditions?

Difficult problem: You probably have permanent damage to your nerve. Avoid Aspirin containing products. Avoid loud noises and activities that can cause barotrauma, such as diving. If you have seen a specialist for this condition, i don't have anything to add. You might want to look at american tinnitus association home page for further ideas.
