Inadequate study: It basically means they cannot say he was positive or negative. This is often because the specimen was not adequate for study and should be repeated.Most tests run an internal control with the specimen to see if the sample is adequate. If the urine was too dilute, or too acidic or basic or had other issues, the results could not be generated.
