A member asked:

What is/are the class types of anti-hypertensive prescription medications that tend to raise blood glucose levels?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thiazides, beta bloc: The two classes of antihypertensive meds associated with raising sugars are thiazide diuretics, and beta blockers. Angiotensin blockers, angiotensin receptor blockers, calcium blockers do not adversely affect blood sugar in diabetics, have other potential benefits to diabetics, and are considered the preferred medications.
