A member asked:

Can eating less calories foods decrease the breast milk supply?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Should not decrease: If a person is eating plenty of foods and drinks, but dropped the number of calories (for example, by getting rid of the sugar and excess carbs in the foods and drinks), her body should make milk just fine. Her body has plenty of stored calories for use in milk-making... Which is why breast-feeding helps a woman lose weight if she eats fewer calories than needed each day.
