Yes: Gerd is a result of a weak valve between the stomach and the esophagus. Pregnancy make the reflux worse becasue of the increased intra-abdominal pressure. If the valve was weak before the pregnancy, it will be weak after the pregnancy as well. The most common symptom is heartburn. Spicy food, alcohol, caffeine, and chocolate can make it worse.
