A member asked:

Can nasonex (mometasone) cause infection in the lungs? i suffer from chronic sinusitis and this seems to have occurred after using, stopped its use due to cough.

Unlikely: The absorption of Nasonex (mometasone) is low, and it going to the lung is also low. What can happen is if used more than necessary, it can cause fungal infection at the site of use and that can be inhaled or can spread.
