Use of tampon: Does not change length of period. However, it may be absorbing fluids in the vagina that would otherwise dribble out on their own time if a sanitary napkin was used.

No: The length of your period is not determined by the pads or tampons you use, as neither of these have the affect to either lengthen or shorten the actual length in days of your menstrual flow.
