A member asked:

What is the difference between clinical depression and just depression?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Terms: Clinical depression, or major depression, consists of at least two weeks of feeling depressed alongside 4 of the following: changes in sleep, changes in appetite, low energy, poor concentration, feelings of guilt, lack of enjoyment, suicidal thoughts, and moving slower/faster than normal. Feeling sad or down just by itself is generally normal.
