Follow up is vital.: With those lab tests, there would be an increased risk of passing hepatitis b to the baby at birth. Using the Hepatitis B Vaccine and hepatitis b immune globulin, this risk can be greatly decreased. It is very important that your wife's doctors are aware of the hepatitis b results.
