May need antibiotics: The usual viral upper respiratory infection lasts about 1 week. After that continuing cough and sinus congestion may indicate a bacterial infection and for this a course of antibiotics(for sinusitis and/or bronchitis) may be needed. See your md for evaluation if symptoms persist or worsen.
