Chest pain: Chest pain while breathing in could be from costochondritis (inflammation of bony-cartilage junctions of chest) or pleuritis (inflammation of pleura) or pericarditis (inflammation of pericardium) or both. Some times COPD itself could cause chest pain from air trapping.
