Over inflation: You received extra air in your lungs and hyper inflated your chest. The pain is from everything over expanding. Tell your boyfriend not to do that. It is extremely dangerous. He could cause one of your lungs to collapse from the pressure.

Hyperinflation: There may be some excess mucus production and resultant cough for a few days, but any fever or worsening of cough needs to be evaluated by your physician.
