Short to long time: If an ovarian malignancy arises and is contained in a cystic structure, a laparoscopic resection in about 1/2 hr. can suffice. If an epithelial tumor has metastasized to omentm and seeded serosa of bowel, debulking to 1-2 cm and omentectomy plus hysterectomy is needed which can take several hrs.
