Does what kind of food you eat affect high blood preassure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

To some extent: Processed foods, fast foods and other foods that are high in salt are not good for someone with high blood pressure. Also, since obesity can affect your BP, keeping your weight in control with a lower carbohydrate diet and avoidance of simple sugars is helpful as well, although not as directly as the other interventions. Get into cooking at home and using spices rather than salt for added flavor!
