Carb limitations: The average american eats >250-300grams of carbs/day. To lose weight on average most people should shoot for <100grams a day. To maintain current weight most people should shoot for 100-150 grams/day. To lose weight quickly many people choose ketosis which often requires limiting carbs to <30-50 grams/day
