Subsequent to my night's sleep, i suffer from shoulder and neck pain. should i get a new mattress, what to do?

Dr. Justin Lo answered

Possibly: You can try that. Get a firm mattress with a pillow top but make sure your neck is in the neutral position while sleeping. If a side sleeper, make sure your head stays neutral and the pillow isn't too soft or doesn't elevate your head. Either way the mattress should not take the place of you getting evaluated. Go see your doctor.
