I'm wondering why won't my gp prescribe me anything for my anxiety?

The best person to : Ask iw your physician. Perhaps you are anxious but don't meet criteria for an actual anxiety disorder? Does you physician want you to try non-pharmaceutical options first? Are you wanting a particular type of anxiety medication (such as benzodiazapine) that your provider isn't comfortable prescribing? I don't know why your gp does not prescribe you meds- ask him/ her to find out. Take care.
