Depends on the cause: Has her doctor found the cause of her cough? The approach to how to manage a cough depends on the reason for the cough. For example if it is acid reflux causing it, she would need to be on an acid reducing medication. If asthma, asthma medication. If cancer, treating the cancer. Etc.
