Can you tell me about the difference between parathyroid and the thyroid?

Different hormones: Both glands are in the neck on both sides of the trachea. The larger thyroid gland produces thyroxin and is associated with recurrent laryngeal nerves which control vocal cords. The parathyroids are endocrine glands producing parathormone to control calcium serum levels.
