Type?: Screening for 'cancer' depends upon the type of cancer. For most people, cervical cancer screening starts at age 21. Many people start breast cancer screening at 40. Colon cancer screening is often begun at 50. The patient's family history may also be important in determining starting dates for cancer screening. Hope that this helps.
