A member asked:

Can you tell me about the difference between cardiac arrest and fits?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cardiac arrest: Cardiac arrest is generally a severe rhythm disturbance of the heart which causes loss of mechanical activity. Fits is a term for seizures. Seizures are neurologic(brain)events and don't necessarily have any heart relationship.
