Cardiac arrest: the heart STOPS an needs to be restarted .....or Cardiopulmonary resuscitation begun or death occurs... IT IS A FORM OF HEART ATTACK which is a more GENERAL term for any acute heart issue (coronary etc) Hope this is helpful! Dr z
