Emptying of stomach: Gastric emptying study requires not eating for several hours prior to study. Can be liquid or solid meal. Solid meal sometmes is scrambled eggs and toast. Lying on table with camera situated above and below abdomen or just one camera ususally above abdomen. Test usually takes about two hours. Test to determine whether have slow gastric emptying. Can also demonstrate gastroesohageal reflux
