Can you tell me if there are any helpful stuff for tmj?

See correct dentist: This is from personal experience. See a dentist (usually an oral surgeon) that treats tmj. I was made a night guard that was firm but when it was placed in the mouth at body temperature become more pliable. So when you sleep and clench your teeth while sleeping the guard would take the pressure off of the joint. Apply moist heat to the joint and especially the muscles. Take anti-inflammatory meds.

TMJ: Tmj ( or tmd) has multiple signs and symptoms. Without knowing more, here are some simple self help suggestions. Don't chew gum. Avoid hard crunchy foods. Don't open wide.Use moist heat over the jaw joints and muscles of the face. Taking an anti inflammatory medication, like ibuprophen 3 times a day for a week to 10 days. See a physical therapist and dentist trained in treating tmj.

Try this: http://tmj.org/ will give you advice. Best to see a TMJ expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
