Yes: It will more likely than not help the tmj. In most cases, iit will distribute the forces more evenly, and allow the joint to sit in a more favorable position in it socket.

Yes but...: Make sure whomever you are considering getting the braces from is educated about tmj/tmd or can work closely with the dr. Who diagnosed your tmj/tmd.
