Yes: The tattoo inks contain a variety of substances that have allergic potential. By fa the most common ink to cause allergic reaction is the red ink. Red contains several compounds that may sensitize you and create a chronic allergic condition noted as a raising of the tattoo, intense itching, chronic itching, redness around the tattoo and granulomas. If you are allergic you can not have laser tattoo.
